The Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor & Federal Territory, founded in 1960, is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with cerebral palsy. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for these children through educational and rehabilitation programs. The association offers a range of facilities, including classrooms, therapy clinics, a hydrotherapy pool, vocational training, computer classes, a library, and more.

This organization provides lifelong free support to children with cerebral palsy through various services and programs, housed in a day center comprising a Special Education School, Vocational Training, Sheltered Workshop, and a Rehabilitation Centre. The Special Education School offers academic and extracurricular activities, tailored to each child’s abilities and needs, including early intervention programs, therapy sessions, and individualized curriculum for children who require special emphasis on functional and living skills.

The Vocational and Sheltered Workshop teaches basic independent, social, and living skills to children with cerebral palsy. In the Sheltered Workshop, students engage in handicraft activities and receive a token allowance for their work, making them eligible for the “Elaun Pekerja Orang Kurang Upaya (EPOKU)” of RM 450.00 from Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia. The Rehabilitation Centre offers physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, hydrotherapy, and Riding with the Disabled (RDA) to children at the school. Outpatient services are also available for children who are unable or not ready to enroll full-time at the school.
