Who are we

The Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled Selangor and Federal Territory is a charitable organization founded in 1972. YAB Tun Dr Siti Hasmah binti Mohd Ali is the Patron of our Society.

Centre for Rehabilitation

Rumah Insaniah Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah was established on 12 March, 1988 to accommodate the disabled while they participate in the rehabilitation programs.

• Our services, for a nominal fee, are offered to the disabled, both males as well as females, irrespective of their race or religion.
• The Society helps the disabled to develop and achieve their maximum potential, in order for the disabled to earn a living and to improve their quality of life.
• The Society works with the various welfare societies, who are dedicated to caring for a specific disability and to promote co-operation among these societies in Selangor and the Federal Territory.
• To assist the disabled by providing rehabilitation programmes.
• We have managed to assist with the supported employment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) with the involvement of PWD friendly employers such as Mydin Hypermarket, Recron (M) Sdn. Bhd, The Chicken Rice Shop, Celcom Axiata Berhad, and Cold Storage, among others.  

Our Care and services

• To assist and to educate the disabled on the importance of living independently so as not to burden their family and loved ones.
• To provide opportunities for social exposure by participating in activities organized by welfare agencies, societies, institutions as well as individuals.
• To provide employment.
