VISION
To Provide Charitable Medical Care To All Underprivileged Malaysians.

MISSION
To provide underprivileged Malaysians affordable, accessible and quality treatment together with a spirit of passion, dedication and commitment to charity.

WHO WE ARE
The MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation (The Foundation) has been actively making a difference in the community through initiatives of both of its non-profit arms; the MAA Medicare Kidney Charity Fund and the MAA Medicare Heart Charity Fund to provide support and charitable medical care to underprivileged Malaysians.

The MAA Medicare Kidney Charity Fund is a public trust fund established in 1994 to ease the financial burden of kidney patients and their families by offering highly subsidised dialysis treatment and medical care.

In 2014, The Foundation extended its services to encompass cardiac health issues with the MAA Medicare Heart Charity Fund. The fund functions as a platform to improve health through disease prevention, life-saving cardiac screening and diagnosis as well as quality treatment modalities. In September 2018, the fund opened the FIRST charitable cardiac diagnostic and treatment centre in Malaysia.

MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation believes in providing easily accessible and affordable treatment for its patients; and continuously strives to progress with strong fundamentals in management, prudent policies, sound administration and a transparent system to establish the organization in good stead and good faith.
The Foundation does not receive any funding from the Government and relies solely on the generosity of the caring society.

WHAT WE DO
1. Patient Services
Provide highly subsidised dialysis treatments to poor Malaysians. We currently treat about 800 patients at our 12 centres nationwide.
Provide high quality cardiac diagnostic and treatment at affordable prices for underprivileged Malaysians. A 10 bedded facility in Jalan Ipoh provides cardiac health screening services using state-of-the-art equipment such as Diagnostic Coronary Angiography, 128 multislice CT Scanner, Stress Test and Digital X-ray and consultation with a team of renowned interventional and non-invasive cardiologists at highly subsidised rates.

2. Education and Training
The team at MAA Medicare undergo regular training programmes to best care for patients and to excel in key areas of their responsibilities.
We strive to raise public awareness on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle to reduce risk of kidney and cardiac diseases. Talks, road shows and health screenings are regularly organised throughout the country.

3. Patient Aid
In 2009, The Foundation formed two new initiatives – the Patients’ Welfare Fund (PWF) and [email protected] Both of these programmes provide patients from the lower income brackets and their school going children with additional subsidies, medical assistance, monthly groceries, school supplies, enriching activities and rewards.
