Kaizen Children Home was launched and started operation on 8th August 2009.
KAIZEN in our home means continuous transforming a child to be a better person, always growing in knowledge, faith and maturity. The single storey bungalow, situated at Taman Tasik Semenyih with an area of 9,000 sq ft, is donated in part by two individuals and the balance was paid from the LCM Social Concern Fund.
The initial cost of extension and renovation work was donated by a group of generous donors solicited by Ms. Wendy Yap. From the early stage, Kaizen Children Home was adopted by the congregation of Taman Midah Lutheran Church (TMLC).
We hereby thank all the members of TMLC for their contribution in getting the Home organised and started. But in year 2014 Kaizen Children Home had to cease operation until LCM took over this ministry and restarted its operation in 2017. Subsequently we have added a new boys toilet and added a new wet kitchen. To-date, the Home has 8 stay-in children, ages from 4 –12. The target number for the Home is 20 children.
This Home was registered with Registrar of Societies (ROS) on 6th Nov 2009. We have completed our renewal papers and submitted them to the Social Welfare Department for approval in our continuing to use the premises as a welfare home.
