Anning Children’s Home was established in 2009. It is based on the faith and philosophy of Buddhism to help those single-parent and problematic parents who are poor and unable to look after their children.
Anning Children’s Home is different from those orphanage because the children are not adopted but merely assumes the role as guardian. We depend solely on the support of benevolent donors and the service of volunteers to help these underprivileged children, providing them free shelter, food, education, including tuitions, with love and care. Recreational and cultural activities are being arranged for these children during weekends and holidays. The children are encouraged to learn and practice basic Buddhism, that is the cultivation and practice of compassion, harmony and being merciful, so much so that they will become physically and spiritually healthy as well as useful citizens.
